From My Back Porch...
Pondering FAITH and the words of Jesus "and whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive --- IF YOU HAVE FAITH."
Now I "believe" that God is almighty; He loves us; there is nothing He can't do. But ----
Do I have the "faith" to expect Him to do what I ask -----
if I ask according to His will?
First of all Faith is COMPLETE trust -- COMPLETE confidence--COMPLETE assurance --- COMPLETE conviction that what you ask will happen. It is not hope; it is not trusting in what or who you are; it has NO doubt. Jesus said if you ask this mountain to be thrown into the sea -- it will. Doesn't that sound frivolous?
We excuse our lack of faith as "it wasn't God's will" too often. So I ask have you been moving mountains lately? Have you been stepping out in complete confidence as to what He is asking you to do? Do you TRUST in HIS might or what your prayers can do? It is all about HIS glory -- not yours. Think about it --COMPLETE confidence.
