I spend a couple of hours each morning visiting my flowers. I tell them how beautiful they are, how bright their colors are, and how much it pleases my heart to see them in their full glory! I tell them what a marvelous creator they have and how artistic He is!
I suspect they already know that. It's been proven that flowers you talk to do better.
I say all that to say...
People too respond to positive words in a much more growing manner. Words that encourage, words that compliment, words that build up, and words that heal! It would make a huge difference in our culture if we all practiced positive speech. If we looked to build one another up and ourselves considered helpful criticism. Being able to dialogue and listen are traits we all need.
