How We Got Our Start
CoffeeTalk began as a home bible study and ministry opportunities began to bolster as growth came. It was then as new opportunities opened that the offerings began to expand. Women helping Women to use and develop their gifts and talents to further God's Kingdom purposes with confidence and boldness.
We pray in our events God will be Glorified and souls set afire for Jesus. Our hope is that people's needs are met at their greatest point of need...a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Marilyn Creighton, founder and CEO of CoffeeTalk Events was born into an evangelistic missionary family. Marilyn lives with a deep passion and commitment to missions at home and around the world. Her heart is for sharing Christ and leading growth for strong disciples...being involved in missions...being a committed Christ followers.
Marilyn served as a missionary between 1976 and 2015 with both International and North American Mission Boards of the Southern Baptist Convention. She has been a part of mission work in Japan, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Northern Minnesota and Southern Wisconsin. In 2015 She retired from a Mission Service Corp position as a Kentucky Southern Regional Mission Mobilization Missionary to devote taking CoffeeTalk Ministries and Events to the next level. Recently, Marilyn has once again stepped into the role as Kentucky Baptist North Central Regional MSC Missions Mobilization Consultant. This position fits so well into her vision and heart calling and pairs well with the goals of CoffeeTalk.
Twice a year (once in spring/once in the fall) she teaches a women's bible study in her home. She often leads mission projects both locally and nationally. In addition Marilyn has become an in demand speaker for women's events across the country, presenting inspiring heartfelt messages that stir emotions, touch hearts and impact lives. Her messages will leave you encouraged and eager to experience a more intimate relationship with God.
Marilyn is happily married to an amazing man, Gary. They enjoy spending time with their 5 beautiful grandkids that range from 25, 16 and 13...the thirteen year olds being triplets! In her spare time Marilyn loves to travel, read, ride bike trails and take pictures.
